Black Cowboy Whiskey

Case Study:

Black Cowboy Whiskey was developed as a storyline prop on WE Network’s hit TV reality show, “Braxton Family Values.” The idea was to honor the history of the forgotten African American horsemen who herded the cattle on the Texas trails in the late 1800s and develop a storyline around it in which Traci Braxton would launch a whiskey brand.

We were tasked to design the product’s visual identity, graphics, bottle, and copy. Amazingly, the prop became a reality, and the whiskey was produced as a novelty in small quantities as a small-batch, premium bourbon whiskey launched in 2018.
