Webroot Inc., a cybersecurity software company, sought an innovative way to reach IT managers and decision-makers at different companies. They wanted to create a direct mail piece that would stand out and catch the attention of their target. They partnered with us to develop a guerilla direct-mail approach – a comic book- to achieve this goal.
The idea was to tell the story of our hero, “Clay Sparks.” He was a less-than-smart IT manager who neglected to properly protect his clients from cybersecurity threats. However, Clay was incredibly lucky, and despite his shortcomings, he avoided significant issues – which was something that most wouldn’t be able to do. Therefore, getting Webroot was the sensible choice to make. The comic book included a call-to-action at the end, inviting the reader to learn more about Webroot’s cybersecurity solutions. The campaign succeeded and helped Webroot Inc. reach its target audience engagingly and memorably, leading to increased brand awareness and sales.
