MY APPROACH:

The most effective approach to developing creative for OOH and transit advertising is to prioritize simplicity and impact. With limited time and space to capture the audience’s attention, concise and memorable messaging is key. Start by understanding the target audience and the specific locations where the ads will be displayed to tailor the message accordingly. High-impact visuals and bold typography should be used to ensure readability from a distance. Additionally, integrating QR codes or hashtags can bridge the gap between offline and online marketing efforts, augmenting its reach.

OVERVIEW: TriNet HR is a professional employer organization (PEO) specializing in cloud-based services designed to cater to the needs of small and medium-sized businesses. They offer a wide range of comprehensive solutions, including payroll management, health benefits administration, employment law compliance consulting, and risk mitigation strategies. Their services are tailored to help businesses streamline their HR processes, navigate legal complexities, and enhance employee benefits, making them a valuable partner for companies seeking efficient and compliant HR solutions.

CHALLENGE: The company wanted to launch a billboard campaign on its Whipple Ave location, strategically located along the route to San Jose and Silicon Valley. The aim was to raise awareness among CEOs about the perils of not entrusting their HR responsibilities to expert professionals like TriNet.

STRATEGY: Our approach revolved around devising a visually captivating and impactful campaign, swiftly conveying the hazards and unnecessary labor associated with HR management through metaphorical executions and powerful and instructive headlines.

RESULTS: The OOH campaign greatly succeeded in boosting brand awareness and became a notable topic in industry conversation. Following the campaign’s launch, website traffic and engagement saw a significant uptick and it set the stage for several campaigns that followed.

OVERVIEW: Ooma Office is a feature-rich business phone system designed to cater to the communication needs of small to medium-sized enterprises. It offers a cost-effective and scalable solution with business features like virtual receptionist, call routing, voicemail, and conferencing. With Ooma Office, businesses can enjoy the benefits of professional-grade communication services while saving on operational costs. It’s user-friendly, easy to set up, and provides the flexibility needed for modern work environments, making it a valuable tool for enhancing productivity and customer service.

CHALLENGE: The company had to address the misconception that installing Ooma Office was complicated and cumbersome. They required a robust advertising effort to debunk this belief and convey that installing Ooma Office was simple and trouble-free.

STRATEGY: We created a comprehensive multi-channel campaign incorporating transit elements like bus shelter posters. Our concept revolved around the idea that “Ooma Office installation is so easy, anyone can do it.” We reinforced this concept with fun imagery and impactful headlines.

RESULTS: The campaign successfully achieved its objective of redefining perceptions regarding the installation process for Ooma Office. It not only elevated brand recognition and dispelled a false perception, but also resulted in a noticeable uptick in website traffic and lead generation.

USS HORNET MUSEUM

OVERVIEW: The USS Hornet Museum is a renowned naval and aviation museum located in Alameda, CA. It’s centered around the USS Hornet (CV-12), a historic aircraft carrier that played a significant role in World War II, Korea, Vietnam and the Apollo 11 space missions. The museum offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the ship’s decks, view a vast collection of aircraft and artifacts, and learn about the rich history of this iconic vessel. With fun, interactive exhibits, educational programs, and a focus on providing an engaging experience for visitors, making it a must-visit destination for history and aviation enthusiasts.

CHALLENGE: Confronted with declining attendance, reduced memberships, and dwindling donations, the museum required a strategy to enhance its visibility and ignite excitement among potential visitors. The museum aimed to educate the public on the museum’s challenges and address the situation.

STRATEGY: We crafted a dual-pronged strategy aimed at appealing to both history enthusiasts and families seeking exciting attractions in San Francisco. This comprehensive campaign encompassed a range of tactics, including out-of-home (OOH) and transit bus boards to reach each target.

RESULTS: The campaign accomplished its tough mission, playing a pivotal role in reversing the situation by increasing attendance, memberships, and donations. This success ultimately secured the museum’s sustainability, thankfully ensuring its continued operation to this day.

OVERVIEW: Blue Shield of California is a prominent health insurance provider that has been serving the state of California for decades. Committed to enhancing the health and well-being of its members, Blue Shield offers a wide range of health insurance plans, including individual and family coverage, as well as Medicare and Medicaid options.

CHALLENGE: Blue Shield of California sought to unveil its collaboration with TriNet, a prominent California-based HR provider. Recognizing the mutual benefits of this partnership, they believed it would bolster both brands and elevate the level of service offered to their valued customers.

STRATEGY: We developed an ingenious and entertaining campaign concept centered on the consensus of doctors, using humor to underscore the excellence of the partnership between Blue Shield and TriNet in delivering valuable benefits to their customers.

RESULT: The campaign achieved remarkable success by significantly boosting brand recognition, driving a surge in website traffic, and producing a notable uptick in customer acquisition.

OVERVIEW: TrinetCares, was an initiative devised by Trinet HR, as a compassionate effort aimed at addressing homelessness through a multifaceted approach. TrinetCares focused on providing support and resources to homeless individuals, acknowledging the complex challenges communities-in-need face daily.

CHALLENGE: Trinet HR aimed to showcase their commitment to supporting communities in need by introducing Trinetcares to the community.

STRATEGY: Our strategy was to generate unconventional executions that could increase significant impact and raise awareness about their amazing charitable organization.

RESULT: The TriNet marketing team and leadership excitedly approved the campaign. However, the Trinetcares.com production was placed on hold as the complete campaign was set for launch.

OVERVIEW: Bank of Marin is a prominent community bank serving the Bay Area in California. With a rich history dating back to 1989, the bank has established itself as a trusted financial institution offering a wide range of banking and financial services to individuals, businesses, and communities in the region.

CHALLENGE: The bank wanted to raise awareness and emphasize their role as a community-focused financial institutions, setting them apart from larger banks in the city.

STRATEGY: We crafted a fun, multi-channel campaign centered on the theme “We employ the great people we serve,” with a strong emphasis on the exceptional customer service they provide.

RESULT: The campaign effectively strengthened their brand identity, boosted account conversions, and played a role in propelling their rapid growth, transforming them into a 30-branch institution.

STRATEGY: Building upon the existing tagline, and branding, we created a series of compelling headlines injecting new life into the campaign.

RESULT: Our approach successfully revamped the the billboard campaign and allowed its run as originally scheduled. Our approach solidified our position as a trusted, long-term partner for TriNet, leading to a lasting collaboration over the years.

OVERVIEW: Birkenstock is a globally renowned footwear brand known for its sandals and shoes featuring contoured cork and latex footbeds that provide exceptional comfort and support.

CHALLENGE: Birkenstock had ventured into period of extensive innovation, resulting in an unusually large inventory of shoe styles that many customers were unaware of, but wanted to still remind its audience of their iconic sandals.

STRATEGY: We devised a multi-channel campaign that including OOH and transit boards featuring both the latest designs and timeless classics. Clever headlines supported the product visuals to draw attention to their new and classic shoes.

RESULT: The campaign achieved significant success by effectively reducing inventory while simultaneously reaffirming the iconic brand’s position as a provider of high-quality footwear for individuals who prioritize health and comfort.

CHALLENGE: TriNet HR wanted an ad campaign aimed at reaching CEOs and educatomg them about how TriNet could help them by assuming HR management responsibilities on their behalf. Their goal was to increase awareness and refresh the brand’s memorability and aesthetic appeal.

STRATEGY: We developed an emotional concept executed in a multi-vehicle approach, including OOH, that celebrated CEOs by highlighting their inherent leadership qualities, emphasizing that despite their independence, they may require assistance regarding HR management.

RESULT: The OOH campaign achieved remarkable success in elevating brand awareness and became a prominent subject of industry discussions. After the campaign’s initiation, there was a substantial increase in website traffic and engagement, setting the foundation for numerous subsequent campaigns.

Facts:

OOH and transit advertising has been proven to be highly effective in extending reach. An OOH campaign featuring strategically located billboards has the potential to generate an average of 2.1 million weekly impressions across multiple urban locations over a two-month period. Simultaneously, transit ads, including boards on buses, bus benches, and in subway stations, can achieve an additional 1.5 million weekly impressions. By leveraging OOH and transit channels, a campaign can reach up to 17 million impressions, significantly expanding its audience and enhancing its impact within the target market.

CHALLENGE: TriNet wanted to reach CEOs to increase brand awareness and generate leads. They sought an anthemic theme that would generate buzz and communicate TriNet’s primary value proposition: providing CEOs with the space and freedom to concentrate on their core responsibilities.

STRATEGY: Our creative concept involved showcasing prominent historical figures to illustrate the profound impact of staying dedicated to a mission without getting bogged down by administrative tasks, highlighting the epic results of such unwavering focus.

RESULT: By implementing this concept across a wide array of channels in an extensive campaign, we effectively generated industry excitement, heightened awareness among the target audience, and further solidified TriNet’s core brand positioning.
